Three Copies of Your Data
Your production data plus two backup copies. If one fails, you always have another to fall back on.
Two Different Storage Types
Backups spread across different media — for example, local NAS and cloud storage — so a single hardware class failure can't wipe everything.
One Off-Site Copy
At least one copy stored in a geographically separate location (cloud or remote data centre) to protect against fires, floods, and theft.
We extend this with 3-2-1-1-0 where appropriate: one immutable (air-gapped) copy that ransomware cannot encrypt, and zero errors verified through automated backup testing.
